Alpha Dinners can take the form of banquets, dinner parties, coffee mornings,
business breakfasts – whatever works best. You can meet in a pub, restaurant,
café or in your church... wherever you can create a relaxed, attractive atmosphere
for people to bring their friends, family, neighbours and colleagues.
After the meal share one or two testimonies (ideally, from those who have
previously done Alpha) and then show the Alpha talk: ‘Christianity: Boring,
Untrue and Irrelevant?’ After the talk, hand out free copies of ‘Why Jesus?’ plus
invitations to your forthcoming Alpha Course.
Consider joining other churches in your area and host a fun event in an
imaginative venue.
We recommend you hold your Alpha Dinners commencing in early to mid July
2008, with subsequent Alpha Courses starting with the third school term and
ending in September. (Note earlier dates for South Australia.)
